Samt Health ("Samt", "we", "us") is built on a privacy-by-design principle. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website at samt.health, in line with UAE law — including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL) and Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 (ICT in Health).
1. Who we are (data controller)
Samt Health is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website. Contact: hello@samt.health.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist email — only if you choose to provide it, so we can notify you when Samt launches.
- Limited technical data — such as browser type and pages viewed, processed in aggregate and not linked to your identity.
- We do not collect any health information through this website, nor your name, phone, or location.
3. Legal basis & purpose
We process your email on the basis of your consent, for one purpose: to tell you when Samt launches. Technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Cookies
By default we use essential cookies only (to remember your language and preferences) — necessary for the site to work. Analytics cookies load only if you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and do not share your data with third parties for advertising.
5. Sharing & processors
We never sell your data. Your waitlist email is stored with our hosting/database provider and may be processed outside the UAE; we keep only your email and delete it on request. When the Samt app launches, your health data will be stored on UAE infrastructure and will not leave the country. All providers operate under data-processing agreements aligned to PDPL standards.
6. Retention
We keep waitlist emails until launch or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPL you have the right to access, correct, and erase your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy (portability). To exercise any right, email us and we'll respond within the statutory period.
8. Security & children
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Samt is intended for adults (18+) and does not knowingly collect data from children.
